Alexander Medel Calderón was born in Arica, on the Andean plateau, in 1985. A graphic designer and illustrator, he always thought that by the time he was almost 40, his creative career would be over. However, the opposite has proven true; he now feels he is in his creative prime. With a restless character, he is constantly experimenting with new disciplines. He has designed candles and ceramics, explored three-dimensional environments, and utilized artificial intelligence. He is currently working on airbrush animations. Always in search of a state of grace, the creative ecstasy, and originality, his art opens a door for interpretations and let what it is uncomfortable or strange to be revealed. He believes in nature and also in technology, in violence and in love.
