1. What should you photograph?
A sign that you see on the street that you find of particular visual interest. Look at these two examples:
2. Where?
In your city, or when you are travelling in another one, as this is when these details usually catch your eye.
3. How?
Simply get up close enough and take the picture. We don’t want you to try to line it up just right, or position your device to “get it straight.” Rather, we are interested in the pedestrian’s perspective. We’re not going to touch up the image or alter the perspective. We are simply going to keep the area taken up by the sign’s design, and erase the rest. The final designs may be vertical or horizontal. Don’t worry about the direction, as we will adapt it. So, if you like taking pictures, shoooot!
4. What type of sign?
We are interested in all types of typographic signs. Mainly, retro signes, as they are seldom seen, but that we would like to keep seeing, for their aesthetic value. If they are new, it is better if they feature some kind of anomaly or defect that endows them with expressiveness. We like those that are defective, corrected, damaged, contain mistakes, have letters missing, or those designed with a total lack of aesthetic or functional criteria. In short, those that, for some reason, fall outside the norm, such that you want to capture and share them.

5. Do I need to do anything else?
Yes, just tell us where and when you took the picture. The city and street in the world where it is located. If selected, we will include that info and your name on the poster. We will consider all the images that we receive, but we will only publish those we find most interesting. If we use your photo, it will then be found in our store, and we will give you a copy of the poster plus a discount coupon for you to use whenever you want at www.futurabasura.com.
